Originally from Geneseo, Illinois, Alyson Holevoet is a ceramic artist based in Iowa City, Iowa. In 2024, she earned her BFA in Ceramics and her BA in Music (Conc. in Bassoon Performance) from the University of Iowa.

 

Alyson is currently the Administrative/Academic Coordinator for the School of Art, Art History, and Design at the University of Iowa. She also works as the Kiln and Back Room Supervisor for Artisan Insight Studios in North Liberty, Iowa. Her work has been shown in group exhibitions and art sales in the Midwest, and she celebrated a solo exhibition in 2024. 
 
In her work, she investigates the layered and evolving nature of memories and the intersections they share with time, our sense of self, and human connection. Her work reflects how the past and present coexist, reshaping one another through our lived experiences.
